Alba Iulia, the capital city of Alba county and has a total population of 63,536 inhabitants. Alba Iulia Municipality is the local public administration focused on the sustainable development and well-being of the local community. The vision of the Municipality is to become a more attractive city to live, work, and invest in by 2020. Four strategic objectives were defined to achieve the vision: Alba Iulia – a smart, accessible, and cohesive city, Alba Iulia – a green city with efficient public services, Alba Iulia – a competitive and creative city, and Alba Iulia – a European cultural and tourist attraction.

Alba Iulia is a Satellite city within ULaaDS.
