As part of the POLIS launched SURF project, promoted through POLIS Capacity Building, this course (organised in 3 Units) aims at raising skills and knowledge related to the development, implementation, and operation of Zero-Emission Zones for Freight (ZEZ-Fs), thus supporting the transition to zero emission deliveries. It includes a series of learning and peer-to-peer activities that are aimed to equip local and national policymakers, practitioners, entrepreneurs, and operators with such skills and knowledge

The International Cargo Bike Festival, the world’s largest event of its kind, combines a fair and conference with presentations and workshops. It brings together international exhibitors, including bike manufacturers, retailers, and designers, to showcase their cargo bike products and services to a broad audience. This is the fourth in a series of SUMP-PLUS workshops intended to build capacity and skills, and equip the technical staff in local administrations with the ability to pass on the information and teach others about sustainable mobility-related topics. This workshop focuses on Lucca’s experiences of strengthening the role of sustainable logistics in SUMP, both within and beyond its city centre.

Even if more open and focused in mobility as a whole, the program will also include heavily a focus on sustainable supply chain and urban planning amongst other matters linked to urban logistics.

The Hague’s living lab envisions a ‘Hyperconnected City’ where the city logistic web of numerous multi-modal logistics and transportation service providers can co-operate to ensure smart consolidation and synchronisation. On March 3rd, a digital representation of this vision will be presented, together with other Dutch Digital Twin experiences.

From December 2020 onwards, the EIT Urban Mobility Competence Hub, within the EIT Urban Mobility Academy, has been releasing free online content for professionals on different key aspects of urban mobility, both through small and massive programmes – special focus on the “New trends in city logistics”.
